Peter Geiger is a versatile artist who has found a way to combine his love of cars with his passion for music. Using license plates from across the country as his medium, he grabs elements of sculpture, woodworking and metalworking to create artistic guitars with rock 'n roll flair. He takes inspiration from the license plates he finds, grabs some whimsy from the folk world, and throws in a little Jimi Hendrix for inspiration.
His work appears in galleries, stores and gathering places throughout the United States. While no two pieces are ever the same, they all feature similar elements: license plates from different states and complementary colors, all incorporated into various guitar designs.
